Plan a move away from AngularJS

Why this matters

AngularJS is a framework: shared code used to build interactive pages. It reached end of life in January 2022, so new security flaws are never fixed.

What to do

  1. Ask your developer which pages depend on AngularJS and how much work a replacement will need.
  2. Agree a plan to move to a supported framework. Until then, remove unnecessary features and code that give attackers more ways into the page.
  3. What to tell your web developer: Please plan a move from AngularJS to a supported framework. While that work is pending, keep the page's attack surface small by limiting unnecessary code and features.

How to check the fix

After the replacement is published, test all affected features and run the checker again. The AngularJS failure should disappear. Ask your developer to confirm it has been removed, since the checker only spots certain visible version references.
