Add an icon for browser tabs

Why this matters

A favicon is the small icon shown beside a page title in a browser tab. It helps customers recognise your site.

What to do

1. Choose a simple square icon that remains clear at a small size. Upload it using your editor's site icon or favicon setting.
2. Publish the setting and check the image address works without signing in.
3. What to tell your web developer: Please add a link with rel=icon and href pointing to the favicon in the page head. The head contains page settings rather than visible content.

How to check the fix

Reopen your site in a new tab and run the checker again. It should find a browser icon link; it does not download or inspect the icon itself.
