Software age

Keep track of your website software

Why this matters

No outdated libraries were spotted. Libraries are shared pieces of code. This check only recognises certain visible versions of jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS and WordPress. It does not cover every security flaw.

What to do

1. Keep a list of the software, themes and add-ons your site uses. Arrange regular updates and backups even when this check passes.
2. What to tell your web developer: No outdated libraries were spotted by this check. Please maintain a software list and keep checking for updates; the result does not cover every library or security flaw.

How to check the fix

Confirm updates with whoever maintains the site. Run the checker after changes, remembering that a pass only describes what it can see in the homepage.
