Send plain HTTP visitors to HTTPS

Why this matters

People who type an address without https:// should still arrive at the secure version of your site.

What to do

1. Check that the https:// version of your site works without warnings first.
2. In your hosting settings, look for a setting to redirect HTTP to HTTPS. A redirect automatically sends a visitor to another address.
3. What to tell your web developer: Please redirect all http:// traffic to https://. Keep the page path and any information after the question mark, and check that redirects do not repeat endlessly.

How to check the fix

Type your full http:// address into a browser. It should end up at https://. Run the checker again to check the plain-HTTP redirect.
