Website checks for estate and letting agents
Keep property browsing, viewing requests and valuation enquiries easy to follow.
Support the move from browsing to a viewing
Buyers and tenants compare photographs, floor plans, locations and availability before requesting a viewing. Sellers and landlords may go straight to a valuation form. Make both journeys obvious and remove unavailable listings promptly. A working homepage alone does not show that property filters or listing pages work.
Keep property pages manageable
Photo galleries, maps and search controls can add a lot to a page. The response-speed and blocking-script checks can highlight problems on the homepage before someone starts browsing. The viewport setting helps phones size the page. Try filters, floor plans and viewing buttons on a phone too; the checker does not inspect those interactions.
Look after viewing enquiries
Viewing and valuation forms usually collect contact details and may include a property address. If your site collects personal details, data-protection law applies. HTTPS protects details while they travel to the site. Test that the form sends a clear acknowledgement and reaches your team without asking for unnecessary information at the enquiry stage.
Keep listings recognisable when shared
People send property links to partners and family. The link-preview check looks for homepage preview settings, so review individual listing previews separately. SPF and DMARC also matter when your team sends viewing confirmations or discusses payments: they help mail services handle messages impersonating your domain, but cannot verify payment requests.
Checks to start with
- Help your homepage answer faster
- Stop scripts delaying the page appearing
- Set your page to fit phone screens
- Turn on a secure HTTPS connection
- Add a title and image for shared links
- Set a policy for faked business email
The checker reads the public homepage, its connection and public email records. Use the results alongside your own checks of the pages and features your customers rely on.
